The director of the International Festival of Modern Music and Media Arts (MIGZ), Alexey is also a promoter, photographer, journalist, digital marketing specialist, and creative entrepreneur. An advocate for Moscow’s electronic music scene, he started 44100.com, the first on-line magazine about electronic music in Russia in 1998. Since 2008 Alexey has been the mastermind behind the annual Moscow based music festival and creative community MIGZ. Held at several venues throughout the city and showcasing musical and multimedia performances, lectures, exhibitions, and film screenings, MIGZ presents digital culture for a broad mainstream audience. Beyond MIGZ, Alexey is also the Education Programme Curator of Circle of Light, Moscow’s light festival, the founder of Vinyl Picnic festival, the co-curator of Polytech.Science.Art project at the Russian Polytechnic Museum, and a local supporter for British Council Russia events in Moscow.
